Addison also makes several discoveries about her family and her own special gifts.

The solution to the murder is a very good story with an unexpected solution and a few twists and turns along the way. It is a fairly easy and quick read that fans of either murder mysteries or paranormal stories will enjoy.

Grabs you from the very first chapter. Characters are well developed and intertwined with each other. Very entertaining and well written. Can't wait for the next. This is one author that needs more attention. Tell everyone you know to read her books.
Yes this book has ghosts and haunted houses, but it's not really all that scary (more creepy than anything,) so if that's what you are looking for, you may be disappointed. It does have a good and intriguing mystery that keeps you interested. The characters are interesting and likable. The lead (Addison) becomes stronger as she realizes the gift she has and how to use it. She grows as a person and becomes more confident in herself and her powers. I'm not sure what age group this is meant for, but it's pretty clean, so I'd say it is safe for teens and up. (In fact, it's a book that I think teens, especially, will enjoy.) With the exception of the initial murder involved (which isn't played out in the book) and someone getting hit over the head (not dying,) there is no violence or sex, and I don't even remember any cursing in it. It reads pretty quickly. It is written in third person perspective that alternates between a few characters. If you are familiar with Cheryl Bradshaw's writing, I don't think you will be disappointed. Though I will admit, I do like the Sloane Monroe series better. (Of course, I'm not into the paranormal as much.)
I don't usually enjoy paranormal books but I have enjoyed all of Bradshaw's other novels, so I thought I would give this one a shot. I'm so glad I did! It kept me on the edge of my seat at times & I could not put it down until I finished it. It is definitely worth the read & I can not wait for the next in this series.
This book had the potential to be a five, and while it is a good read, it is not the type that keeps you on the edge of your seat as you like when reading a haunting story. I have read other books that you don't want to put down. This one kept me engaged enough that I wanted to finish it to see what happened, but it wasn't the type that I couldn't put down. The main character could have been more likable. Luke was the most likable character in the entire book. This one does not entice me to keep buying the author's books, but I think I might have bought the second one. If I did, I'll read and review it and hope it's better than this one was. If you don't care if it's edge-of-your seat for a haunting tale, it's a good read.
Wow! This book is like a great roller coaster as it takes you on a wild ride. I started this book about mid-day yesterday and only stopped long enough to watch a basketball game on TV (but I would pick it up to read during commercials and half time). When I went to bed last night I couldn't sleep until it was done. The chapters became like cliffhangers, no matter how sleepy I felt, I had to move on to the next chapter. If this first in the series of Addison Grayson is any indication of the next in the series, it will be phenomenal. Addison has a gift, the ability to see forward or backward in time, that is passed from the first born female to the first born female in line. This gift was denied by Addison's mother and Addison's visions were treated as imagination and coincidence when they came true. This brought about confusion and misunderstanding and Addison hiding what she could 'see.' But when she inherits the ancestral family home, she is thrown into solving of a long time mystery the disappearance of her grandfather and a young movie actress, a disappearance that she can see as a murder in her visions. Great book.
